Editorial Policy
Manuscripts submitted for publication should be of high academic standard and are accepted on condition that they are contributed solely to the Journal of Community Development Research (Humanities and Social Sciences. The manuscripts must not have been previously published and are not under consideration for publication in any other media. The manuscripts, parts of which have been previously published in conference proceedings, may be accepted if they contain additional material not previously published and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submission of a multi-authored manuscript implies the consent of all the participating authors. (Upon the submission, all author(s) shall sign for and accepts responsibility for releasing the article in the Consent to publish and Copyright transfer form.)
All manuscripts considered for publication will be peer-reviewed by three independent experts in the field. As a result of the technical review process, a manuscript may be accepted without change, recommended for modification and further review, or rejected. If accepted, the manuscript shall not be published elsewhere in the same form, in either the same or another language, without the consent of the Editors and Publisher.
Manuscripts are accepted with the understanding that authors have obtained the authority for publication, and they have performed the studies under the rules for animal experiments, clinical studies, biosafety and biosecurity, and biodiversity rights and permissions. Authors are responsible for the scientific accuracy of the papers. The views and opinions expressed in this publication are those of the authors and not necessarily reflect those of the editor and the editorial board of this journal. The JCDR-HS assumes no responsibility for plagiarism, copyright violation, conclusions and errors made by authors. The authors take full responsibility for the contents of their respective articles.

All articles published in our journal are open access and are freely and widely available to all readers via the journal website.

PUBLICATION PROCEDURE
Screening Process
The editorial team screens and decides whether a submitted manuscript is acceptable for the review process based on the following criteria:
- The manuscript’s content is in line with the journal’s aims and scope, presenting strong academic merit, original contents and clearly stated objectives, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.
- The manuscript’s length, format, citations and references comply with the journal’s requirements.
- The manuscript contains no plagiarism.
- The manuscript’s linguistic quality is good, and a valid proof of language check is submitted.
The screening results can be one of the following:
- Accepted for review
- Revise and resubmit
- Rejected
Peer Review Process
The manuscripts that have passed the initial screening process and accepted for review will undergo a double-blind peer review by three reviewers specialized in the disciplines relevant to the manuscript’s subject.
A research article is evaluated based on the timeliness, appropriateness, adequacy, accuracy and quality of its abstract, objectives, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, references and language use.
An academic article is evaluated based on the timeliness, appropriateness, adequacy, accuracy and quality of its abstract, introduction, content, conclusion, references and language use.
Acceptance or Rejection
After the review process, the Editor-in-Chief will consider the reviewers’ comments and make any of the following decision:
- Accepting the manuscript with no requirement for a revision
- Accepting the manuscript with minor revision
- Accepting the manuscript with major revision
- Rejecting the manuscript
If the reviewers’ evaluation results are contradictory, the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Team may consider nominating an additional reviewer to review the manuscript.
The decision of the Editor-in-Chief is considered final.
Revision
The author must revise the manuscript according to the comments and suggestions from the reviewers and submit the revised manuscript together with a table of corrections within the timeline given for the revision (2-4 weeks).
Copyright
JCDR-HS has an exclusive right the articles published in JCDR-HS.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to JCDR-HS will be checked for plagiarism as part of the initial screening process.
Any detected act of plagiarism will immediately result in the manuscript being rejected.
